Is The Deuce Streaming on Netflix?

This fall, HBO debuted The Deuce, an 8-episode series starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The new drama series follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world at the pioneering moments of what would become the billion-dollar American sex industry.

Created and executive produced by “The Wire” duo George Pelecanos and David Simon, it currently airs every Sundays at 9PM on HBO.

If you’ve seen the trailer, it’s apparent that The Deuce is not your average historical period piece. With the legalization of the porn industry at the center of its arc, we’re betting that this a kind of story that will pique your interest during its exploration in the early 70s. Also, the production value of the show – from the backdrop of New York city to its vintage cars and costumes – is another layer of the series that will get you entertained.

Is The Deuce streaming on Netflix?

Right now, The Deuce season 1 has not yet been added to Netflix’s library. Since HBO has its own streaming service, the HBO Now, we think it’s unlikely that it will end up on the digital channel anytime soon.

Like Game of Thrones, Westworld, Silicon Valley and other popular shows from the cable network, The Deuce will probably get the same treatment from HBO.

What are my other options?

You can stream The Deuce Season 1 by signing up for a subscription on HBO. Right now, you can join HBO free trialon Amazon Prime, and sample the show with a free 7-day trial period.
